Changes in the Management Board on April 1st 2011
Melsungen (Germany). Dr. Heinz-Walter Große has assumed his responsibilities as the new Chairman of the Management Board of B. Braun April 1, 2011. At the same time, Dr. Annette Beller and Otto Philipp Braun joined the B. Braun Board of Management – both initially as deputy Board members. Prof. Dr. h. c. Ludwig Georg Braun, who bade farewell to his Melsungen workforce at the staff meeting on March 31, 2011, will remain as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Dr. Heinz-Walter Große started his career 1978 in the Finance Department of B. Braun Melsungen AG. During his professional career he moved to the USA and thereafter took over the business management of B. Braun Austria and neighbouring states. In 2005 he was appointed as Member of the Management Board, responsible for the Finance/Taxes and the Controlling Division. In 2005 he also assumed responsibility for the Human Resources and Legal Affairs Divisions. In 2009 he was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Management Board. Dr. Große is married and has two children.
Dr. Annette Beller started her career with B. Braun in 1995 as Senior Vice President of the Finance/Taxes and Accounting Divisions after having worked for several years as tax consultant and financial auditor with a major auditing firm. She is a member of several Supervisory Boards of B. Braun subsidiaries. Dr. Beller is married and has two children. She succeeded Dr. Heinz-Walter Große as Member of the Management Board responsible for Finance.
Otto Philipp Braun is the first 6th generation family member to join the Management Board. His professional career led him via bank training, academic studies and a master of International Accounting and Finance at Cass Business School City University, London and employment of several years with Dr. Oetker companies both in Bielefeld and India back to the B. Braun Group. Since 2009 he has been responsible for the Brazilian B. Braun subsidiary in São Gonçalo near Rio de Janeiro. Otto Philipp Braun is married. He took over responsibility in the Management Board for the regions Iberian Peninsula and Latin America.
